Q: Are you a catalog service?
A: No. We are a social business tool for companies. We are based on a specialized search engine combined with a social networking platform. Our information platform is based on live data for all companies. 

Q: Who are the owners behind Companybook
A:Companybook is 100% equity financed by three Norwegian families with a strong financial position.

Q: What is your business model or pricing structure?
A: We have a freemium pricing model. Our customers get our basic services for free, and can at any time upgrade to Gold or Platinum membership for additional premium features. The premium memberships are per company, and are priced quite reasonably at that (starting at Euro 600 per year) . Some revenue will also come from contextual advertising (a la Google Adwords). 

Q: Where is your HQ?
A: Our HQ is located in Oslo, Norway, with field operations in Singapore and San Francisco, for now.

Q: Where does the data about the companies come from?
A: The data is gathered from various sources, including your website if you have one. In addition to agreement with trusted financial data providers like D & B / Hoover, we also gather facts from official registries and other public sites. This variety of sources secures the validity of the data in an impartial and objective way. 
 
Q: How can I be sure my content is safe?
A: Our service is based on cloud computing. That means your information is backed up in several places at all times and is safe from being lost, even for those with large volumes of sensitive information. 
 
Q: Can financial data and facts be altered by a company with a premium membership? 
A: No, this would compromise the validity of the data. Premium members can, however, comment on the data to explain inconsistencies or the impact of circumstances and events beyond their control, for example. All companies can also supplement their page with additional information in their showroom section.

Q: Can others see my communication within Companybook, e.g. in the search engines?
A: No. Your direct networking within Companybook is confidential to you and those you invite. The company pages and other public information however are search optimised.
